The power of a “simple*” question. 💚

Yesterday evening, Ethan was frantically searching for something & was obviously very determined to find it. We had absolutely no idea what he was searching for, but – now thanks to the power of his AAC device – we could ask him.
Imagine our surprise when he navigated to “more things” “numbers” “let’s count to 100” “60”. We quickly realised that he had lost the missing 60 piece of his favourite 100 wooden numbers puzzle & could now join him in his frantic search.
Step up Daddy, a phone torch & a look under the sofa & hurrah 60 was found & the puzzle complete once again. 🎉💚
Ethan was undeniably thrilled & we were once again left astounded at the power of AAC whilst simultaneously wondering how we ever coped without it. 😅🩷🫶

*simple = 18 months of AAC use, modelling, learning & embracing as a family. It was a very brief moment, but really not that simple or small at all. 🥰
