Ethan said “hello” via his AAC totally spontaneously for the first time today! 😍 May sound small to some – but this is HUGE for Ethan socially to build relationships further with those around him. It happened at School where he said “hello” to his teacher! 🥰 She had been off poorly for a couple of days so he maybe wanted to demonstrate how pleased he was that she was back.

She responded with “hello” & asked “What’s my name?” & Ethan selected her name via his AAC – so, maybe he may group these together in the future. 💜

I feel this shows huge progress for Ethan & how naturally he’s starting to use his AAC – using it socially feels a big step. He knows it’s his voice & he’s using it.
